How many times have you been hurt by someone that you trust?
You don't feel you should restrain, but restraint is a must.
I for one have felt the urge, to render pain "in kind".
I would feel much better then, and I'd have peace of mind.
To know that they who've injured us, would feel some pain as well...
Might somehow tend to placate us, and our anger we could quell.
To plot their own undoing, and to smite them hard and fast...
Would somehow aid our frame of mind, to know we got them "last".
It's within our human natures, to want to pay them... tit for tat.
It's as if we were a boxer, we'd want to see them on the mat.
Revenge is sweet, we've heard it said; we mostly must agree.
Especially when we pay them back, for what they did to me.
Our imagination runs amuck, with vengeful acts of spite.
It sometimes keeps us wide awake, and we can't sleep at night.
Eventually we realize, all our plans are made for naught.
If we pulled off what we'd been thinking... we'd be surely caught.
Vengeance is mine, sayeth the LORD, "I" will recompense.
Some of us when we read this... it doesn't make good sense.
We'd much rather seek them out, and dearly make them pay.
But GOD has told us clearly, to plot revenge is not the way.
It's not our job to seek a vengeance; our GOD has full control.
HE will exact the total price... whatever be that toll.
HE has seen the deeds of "all" and "Knows" just what is due.
You can be "sure" that they'll be dealt with... including me and you.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
