In HIS Service
I'm still amazed how GOD can make all things work out for good
When I'd exhausted all "my" skills...
and knew they never could.
I forget just "WHO'S" in charge,
almost every single day.
I have to remind myself...
our GOD will make a way.
GOD WILL use you if you ask
and sometimes when you don't.
HE can bring the best of you
out front when you just won't.
Don't think that it's all over
because we're older and grayer.
We should learn to hone our skills,
especially... our prayer.
I've heard the words expressed,
'You're never too old to learn'.
That being said, it's safe to say...
We "might" have one more turn.
No matter what our education
or our date of birth...
GOD can, and does, still use us;
we still have some worth.
GOD'S not through with us my friend
Whatever our position.
We must learn to "tune Him in"
and teach ourselves to listen.
HE speaks to us continually
all our living days.
HE touches all our hearts at will
in so many different ways.
When you hear a "word" from HIM
you'll know that it's for "you".
That's when you should press on in
and ask HIM what to do.
You may hear a simple phrase,
spoken by someone that's near.
But your heart "knows" it's just for "you"...
and it's for "Your" ear.
If you'd like to hear from GOD
we just have to kneel and pray.
HE has promised all mankind
that HE'D never go away.
Why not ask if there is more
that HE has planned for YOU.
You may find your purpose;
here on earth... is not yet through.
