River Of Life
Launch out into the deep and push off from the shore..
Without risk you'll never know what "your" life has in store.
Life rushes by so rapidly, on this you can depend.
You may have been... waiting for... what's just around the bend.
You may feel a hesitation to get into the boat.
But rest assured my cautious friend, GOD "will" keep you afloat.
The waters may be still at first... then you will feel the tow.
The river only flows one way and that's where you will go.
A boat that sits in dry dock will have no purpose that is met.
You can't navigate life's river without somehow getting wet.
The waters may be raging... and you may fear the boat could sink.
But GOD will get you through the rapids quicker than you think.
I suggest you use "both" oars and keep them in the water.
This advice remains the same; be it Son,or be it Daughter.
Arrival at your destination counts on the strokes you take.
They determine speed and course and progress that you make.
You may elect to drop your anchor content to sit life out...
Your purpose wouldn't be determined of that I have no doubt.
Why not take the journey? You'll see other boats with you.
They will have made the choice to row and take their chances too.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 22: 1-5
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17
