¶Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
Psalm 103:13-18

"This" Day

What would you do with "this" day
if you knew it were your last?
Would you reflect upon those folks
you've injured in your past?

How would you prepare to leave
this earthly realm behind?
Would you set things in motion
so order they would find?

Would you think to view the sunset,
the last one you would see?
Would you consider touching grass,
the earth,  perhaps a tree?

Would you drink in all GOD'S great gifts
that HE allowed to be?
Would you cling to mental pictures
you've retained in memory?

Would you take a breath, and savor it,
tasting GOD'S sweet air?
Would you recall your blessings
GOD allowed for you to share?

Would you appreciate the many times
GOD saved you from a fall?
Would you consider "why" HE did it
or would you care at all?

Would you be angry of the fact
that now you have to leave?
Would you waste time in feeling sorry...
would you take time to grieve?

Would you treasure final minutes
when you feel your time here wane?
Would you resent the sobering fact
you'll not pass this way again?

  Would you spend time remaining
to thank GOD for what HE'S done?
Would you remember at that time
that GOD had sent HIS SON?

Would you then be grateful...
Would you then not feel so grim?
Would you then recall your destination...
  eternity with HIM?

  Would you kneel in adoration,
appreciation deep inside?
Would you be grateful for your JESUS?
With HIM you'll now abide.
