HE Considers Us

For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again:
Proverbs 24:16

HE Considers Us

Don’t waste time complaining
of opportunities you’ve lost.
Until the road is ended here
there’s bridges we’ve not crossed.

Be thankful for all blessings
GOD has shown us through HIS GRACE.
Each malady and sickness borne
someday, GOD will erase.

The hours GOD has let you live
upon HIS precious earth,
Give HIM thanks for each of them
and for allowing your own birth.

I recall in my own life
when from HIS precepts I had swerved.
Yet HE continued blessing me
with things I’ve not deserved.

When I contemplate the love HE’s shown
to such as wretch as me
I’m overwhelmed with gratitude
that HE considered, “me”.

I felt somehow for all gifts given
I should compensate some way.
Then I recall HE sent HIS SON
for all my sins to pay.

Scriptures say GOD knows your heart
and all that is “inside”.
That being true, I’m sure HE knows…
we often struggle to abide.

We feel remorse when we defer
from precepts HE has made.
We’re disheartened when detoured
from the plans we have laid.

Flesh being weak… is no excuse…
we still know the right from wrong.
We should be grateful GOD,
has let us… hang around this long.

When temptations come upon us
and we falter, then we cope…
We know for certain that our LORD
“is” our only hope.

Don’t lament the days gone by
or the time that’s flown.
We’ll attend that meeting in the sky
when JESUS calls HIS own.

Youth is fleeting, that’s for certain;
age enfolds us “all”.
The life we spend here on HIS earth
is for naught without HIS call.

Freedom from anxiety…
deliverance from our concern.
The blessed hope of heaven…
something none of us could earn.

GOD knows that we are made of flesh
and at best is weak.
HE forgives us when we fail,
be we forceful… or be we meek.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:7-14
